Lissetty Thomas-Johnson

Lissetty Thomas-Johnson was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States at the tender age of 2 years old. With the support of her parents who worked in factories, Lissetty was able to make her way through the education system and earn a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Elementary Education. She then obtained a Master’s Degree in Library Science. Today Lissetty is the Head of Spanish Outreach and Inclusive Services at the Patchogue-Medford Library.  With her passion for equity, inclusivity and working with the public, she works hard to make sure there are equitable services and language access for parents and students in the community.
